Machine in the Mountain was engineered in 2013 by musicians made battle-ready by the Oklahoma metal scene. Blending the abrasive sounds of thrash metal, the harmonious grooves of jazz, and the weird atmospheres of progressive rock, the band constructs a body of music that is simultaneously aggressive and contemplative.

Joe Davis, Mike Gullick, Travis Inselman, and John van Rijn have released three EP’s and one LP which showcase their evolution as artists and their relentless pursuit of musical innovation. The eclectic quality of their sound has placed them on stages with Trivium, Chimera, Avatar, Fates Warning, and so many more. Their most recent release, "The Silent Land of the West," takes listeners through a unique landscape of groovy metal riffs and dark ambient passages. 

Their dynamic and enthusiastic live performances have earned them a dedicated and ever-growing fan base, manufacturing their place as a driving force in the region’s progressive metal scene.
